When you are visiting, make sure that your loved one is getting physical activity. Light exercise such as walking or lifting their arms and legs while in the bed helps create a better blood flow throughout the body.
Whenever you are visiting, always check your loved one's skin. Particularly look at areas that receive pressure such as lower back, bottom, elbows and heels. Make sure your loved one's skin is clean, dry and moisturized.
Also make sure that a healthy diet is high in protein.
Visit on alternating days and times and note the change of bed sheets and clothes.
