Community Involvement
At Martin & Jones, we feel lucky to work with each and every one of our clients. Our clients are people who have undergone hardships or suffered tragedies and have courageously dealt with the challenges they have faced. Through representing individuals and families who have coped with hard times, we have had opportunities to learn about challenges faced by many people in our communities.
It has become important to Martin & Jones to try to help strengthen our communities through more than our legal work. Our participation in several community organizations and local and national charities is directly inspired by our heroic clients.
On behalf of our clients injured and killed by exposure to asbestos, we are proud contributors to both the American Lung Association and the American Cancer Society.
On behalf of our clients who struggle economically after an injury or the death of a loved one, we are proud contributors to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Each year, in addition to monetary donations, we hold a food drive and directly contribute many pounds of non-perishable food.
On behalf of our many clients who are children, we are proud supporters of the Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, North Carolina. The Masonic Home is a non-profit residential home that provides care for disadvantaged children.
Many of the attorneys and staff at Martin & Jones participate in charities that have special meaning to them on behalf of their clients. Below is a list of community organizations and charities supported by firm attorneys and staff:
