Gas Safety

Gasoline is dangerous and extremely flammable.  Carefully read all cautions on all sides of gasoline containers.  Review and follow these gas safety precautions when using portable fuel containers.

 

  • Gasoline is extremely flammable.
  • Gasoline vapors can explode if they come into contact with a spark or flame.
  • Keep out of reach of children!
  • Mantenga fuera del alcance de los ninos!
  • Harmful or fatal if swallowed.
  • Never use gas to start a fire.  This may cause severe injury or death!
  • Nunca utilice gasoline para iniciar unfuego.  Podria causar lesiones graves o la meurte!
  • Keep gas can away from heat sources.
  • Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors.
  • DO NOT store any gas can in your vehicle or living space.
  •  ALWAYS store and use gas cans in a well ventilated area.
  • Gasoline vapors can be ignited by a spark or flame source many feet away.
  • Keep gas cans away from flame, pilot light, stove, heather, electric motor, and other ignition sources.
  • Always place gas can container on the ground when filling to avoid a static electricity ignition.
  • Keep gas can container closed when not in use.
  • Do not siphon gasoline by mouth.  Gas is harmful or fatal if swallowed.  If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting.  Call your physician immediately.
