Kristen grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from Broughton High School. In 1997, she graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a concentration in Advertising. She received her law degree in 2001 from Campbell Law School. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and Georgia.
Since 2001, Kristen has been representing patients who have been victims of medical malpractice and their families. Before coming to Martin & Jones in August 2006, Kristen practiced at a medium-sized mainly medical malpractice law firm in Durham, North Carolina where she co-managed several cases that resulted in multi-million dollar settlements and/or verdicts. At Martin & Jones, Kristen continues to focus her practice on representing patients who have been victims of medical malpractice and their families. As well, she pursues wrongful death, personal injury, and nursing home cases.
Kristen lives in North Raleigh. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in the community, golfing, working out, writing, and traveling.
