Medical Malpractice by Medical Students, Residents or Interns

In hospitals where some or all of a patient’s care is delivered by medical students, interns, residents or others in training, medical mistakes are more common than you may expect.  If a mistake is made by one of these trainees that kills or injures a patient, the patient or his or her family is entitled to recover from the teaching hospital’s insurance.
