Will My Personal Injury Case Go to Trial?

  Return to Videos

When you are hiring a lawyer as the victim of a terrible incident, the first thing that you should ask that lawyer is, do you take cases to trial?

In this day and age, it is necessary that the lawyer may have to bring your case all the way to trial. And what that means is asking a jury of 12 strangers to decide your case, whether deciding about who's at fault, or if fault is clear, they may decide about how much your case is worth.

And if the lawyers representing you do not take cases to trial, then they are not prepared to settle your case. And so we get the question from our clients, "Well, how likely is my case going to go to trial? Do I have the potential to settle my case?" The answer to that question is, if your case is prepared by competent attorneys who know how to take it to trial, it will probably settle.

If your case is prepared to settle, it will probably go to trial. And so the first question you should ask your lawyers are, do you take cases like mine to trial? The answer should be yes.
