John Alan Jones Recognized as a “Lawyer of the Year” for 2025

Best Lawyers in America has again recognized John Alan Jones as a “Lawyer of Year.” John Alan was voted by his peers as Raleigh’s Lawyer of the Year 2025 in two separate categories:

• Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs, and
• Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Plaintiffs

John Alan Jones is the founding member and managing partner of Martin & Jones, where he has worked since he began practicing law in 1982. He has successfully represented medical malpractice victims throughout North Carolina, having tried these cases from the mountains to the coast for more than three decades. He has also devoted a significant amount of his work time to consumer class action litigation settled predatory lending class actions against a Bank of America subsidiary, NationsCredit, for $38,750,000 and a CitiBank subsidiary, Citifinancial, for $42,500,000.

In addition to John Alan’s recognition as “Lawyer of the Year,”  he was again recognized as a Best Lawyer having been so designated every year  since 2008.  Four other Martin & Jones attorneys were honored as Best Lawyers as well.  Steven Corriveau, Forest Horne, Mike Riley and Hunt Willis were nominated and voted for this honor by their peers.

Last but certainly not least, the firm Martin & Jones has also been honored by being recognized as “Best Law Firm” in the Raleigh metropolitan for medical malpractice, personal injury, workers’ compensation, product liability, and mass tort litigation/class actions.  These practice areas are all on behalf of plaintiffs harmed by another’s negligence.
